‘Shadowhunters’ Casts Nick Sagar as Victor Aldertree

With production of Shadowhunters season 2 underway, the show has cast Nick Sagar (The Haves and the Have Nots) in a recurring role.

According to Deadline, he will be playing Victor Aldertree, a Clave representative who arrives at the New York Institute after Jace’s (Dominic Sherwood) departure with Valentine (Alan Van Sprang) in the season 1 finale. He could be taking Lydia Branwell’s (Stephanie Bennett) position after her almost wedding with Alec Lightwood (Matthew Daddario). You can’t blame a gal for wanting to go back to Idris after that.

If the name Aldertree sounds familiar to book fans of Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instrument series, in City of Glass a member of the Aldertree family became Inquisitor after the death of Imogen Herondale (Mimi Kuzyk). Based on Clare’s popular novels, Shadowhunters follows the journey of 18 year old Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara) who discovers that she’s part angel and is thrust into a world where demons, vampires, werewolves, and faeries exist.

Can’t wait to hear more casting news from the show and in the meantime, here are more behind the scenes looks:
