The Messengers didn’t stand a chance. With only four episodes aired, The CW has officially announced the series cancellation.
The news doesn’t come as a surprise as the shows ratings and late start made it feel as if the network didn’t have much fate in the series.

A mysterious object crashes on earth and a group of unconnected strangers die from an energy pulse it emits, but then re-awaken to find out that they have been deemed responsible for preventing the impending Apocalypse.
